VIIN and Lorne I&I Co-Convenors

The Victorian Infection and Immunity Network is led by two Co-Convenors, who also act as co-convenors of the annual Lorne Infection and Immunity Conference (Lorne I&I). The VIIN Co-Convenors work together to determine the strategic plan and direction of VIIN, provide operational oversight through the VIIN Project Officer, Co-Chair the VIIN Executive Committee, and support the actions and activities of the Network. The current VIIN Co-Convenors are Prof Gilda Tachedjian and Prof Ana Traven.

The VIIN Executive Committee

The Victorian Infection and Immunity Network is guided by an Executive Committee that directs the activities and expenditure of the Network. The Executive Committee reports to VIIN members and Contributing Organisations through the VIIN Project Officer to the VIIN mailing list and this website.

The VIIN Emerging Leaders Committee

The VIIN Emerging Leaders Committee (previously the VIIN Young Investigators Committee) consists of early and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) from each of the VIIN’s Contributing Organisations. Together, members of this committee are responsible for organising workshops and professional development opportunities targeted at students and EMCRs, as well as two of the VIIN’s flagship Events, the VIIN Careers Evening and the VIIN Young Investigator Symposium.

This committee is led by the Co-Chairs of the VIIN Emerging Leaders Committee, who also act as EMCR representatives to the VIIN Executive Committee.

Expressions of Interest to join the VIIN Emerging Leaders Committee are opened annually to members from VIIN Contributing Organisations, typically beginning in late November.
