Research Activities

1. Epidemiology of COVID-19 - Synthesising evidence from literature, national and international government reports and other sources to provide evidence to inform the Victorian Government COVID-19 response including epidemiological modelling for SARS-CoV-2 and monitoring of variants. Member of the Victorian Covid Virological Surveillance Group.
2. Antimicrobial Stewardship in General Practice - To assist GPs to reduce antibiotic prescribing, I examined the roles of governments, professional colleges, community pharmacists and nurses, and non-government organisations in reducing antibiotic prescribing in general practice. From this I developed policies and strategies that can be used to reduce antimicrobial resistance in the community.
