VIIN Researcher to head NHMRC

Professor Anne Kelso AO has been named as the new CEO of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). Professor Kelso has been a great supporter of the Victorian Infection and Immunity Network in her role as Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre on Influenza, where she contributed to local and international surveillance and vaccine policy relating to pandemic viruses.

Professor Kelso (pictured above) recently spoke to VIIN students and early-career researchers at the 2014 VIIN Young Investigator Symposium on her journey 'From lab bench to global health'.  The VIIN wishes Anne all the best in her new role at the NHMRC.
