NIH funding for VIIN Scientists

Congratulations to VIIN researchers from Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS), Monash Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (MFMNHS) and the MIMR-PHI Institute of Medical Research (MIMR-PHI) who have been awarded almost $10million of NIH funding towards designing, developing and evaluating novel therapies for antibiotic-resistant infections.

The Victorian team includes VIIN Executive Committee Members Prof Paul Hertzog (MIMR-PHI) and Prof Jian Li (Lead Researcher - MIPS) along with Dr Jiangning Song (Monash Bioinformatics Platform), Dr Tony Velkov, Dr Darren Creek, Prof Roger Nation and Dr Jurgen Bullita (MIPS) and Prof Tony Purcell and Dr John Boyce (MFMNHS). They will collaborate with researchers from University at Buffalo, Weill Cornell Medical College and the Wayne State University in the US.
