Research Activities

The overall research directives are targeted at enhancing animal health, developing better treatments and vaccines, and improving disease diagnosis for the poultry and pig industries. Our current research areas include: avian influenza, chicken infectious anaemia virus studying immune molecules and receptors developing and assessing antiviral therapy vaccines and adjuvants, therapeutics

Techniques/Expertise

Various assays associated with determining immune response parameters, such as cytokine expression profiling, cell phenotyping, etc.

Disease Models

Models: Avian influenza, Hendra, MERS
