Research Activities

Dr. Jones-Freeman completed her BSC (Hons) at the University of Ulster, UK. She had the opportunity to work at GlaxoSmithKline, UK then undertook training the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College. She completed her PhD in Immunology and Microbiology at The University of Newcastle, Australia.
Dr. Jones-Freeman is an early career researcher, in the immunology and regenerative medicine group within the department of Immunology and Pathology, at Monash University. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive expertise in multiple respiratory and urinary tract disease models. Her research projects have been with a focus in epigenetic regulation of immunology, which she has applied to prostate cancer and respiratory diseases. Recent and current research focuses have evolved into mucosal immunology and its role in development, repair and regeneration in respiratory and urinary tract diseases.
